BE INSPIRED

Be the person you would like to meet

InspirationMeditationMindfulness

If you wish for a kinder, more mindful, and compassionate world, then be the beginning.

Start with the next encounter. How often do we meet people in our daily lives – for a coffee, during a walk, or after a long day at work – and yet, our thoughts are somewhere else? You can make the world a little better simply by the way you interact with others – by touching them positively, uplifting them, appreciating them, and making them feel seen and important.

Imagine that every encounter you have could be a source of joy and inspiration for the other person. After meeting you, everyone could leave with a good feeling because you were in their life.

When we meet someone, we can decide how we approach them

Are we thinking of something else – or are we fully present? Do we truly listen – or are we just waiting for our turn to speak? As soon as you encounter someone, be the person who shows them that they are valuable – that you respect them and offer them a pleasant time with you. It doesn’t always have to be a big conversation or a deep interaction. Just take a step back during that brief moment of encounter. Forget yourself for a moment – your worries, your anger, your inner noise – and be fully there for the other person.

Positive interpersonal relationships play an important role in creating a better society

Instead of talking about your burdens or problems, share what inspires you. Talk about the small, beautiful things you’ve noticed. About what you’re grateful for. Because these positive impulses can brighten the other person’s day – and yours as well. With this mindset, you will not only enrich the lives of others but also your own. In every encounter, there’s the chance to grow, gain new perspectives, and form a deeper connection with others. Maybe that person walks away with a lighter heart after your encounter. Maybe they feel understood, seen, and strengthened. And maybe, you helped them making their life a little bit better.

When you promote the good in others, you contribute to the increase of joy, love, and peace in the world.
